April 2021 Investigation

 hi ho another month went by 

My photos started working again on blogger which makes me so happy! I'll be hoping to posting more this summer, I've just been busy and unmotivated. 


My horses are shedding and Solo is looking so white. 


Me and Nala so hard to get a picture with her lol. 


Solo is getting bigger, and I've been trying to get training in with him, but I feel like I'm failing right now. I'm working 4 or 5 days a week and only get a bit done one or two days a week. Really want to be doing 6 days of horse work, ug. 


Been thinking hard about what I'm going to be doing for work at a school next year, so not sure. Just don't know what to do, also thinking about maybe going to collage for it? I don't know.


Been listening to lots of audio books on the way to work. I think 3 books, Bloom by Kenneth Oppel, 3 star for me, not my favorite of his books. Also Soul Surfer by Bethany Hamleton, really liked it, 5 star. I read 
33 A.D (the second book) by Ted Dekker 4 star. 


Keeping up with ballet and stretching, stretching is not making much progress, be sure, I will tell you when I get them. Dancing has improved, but I haven't been feeling pretty for elegant and really wished I was a lot better. 

Had a fun picture day, April 30th actually. Day after my brother's 16th birthday, going to have a party for him in May.

7 Day Split Challenge //// Day 7

 We are here, it's day 7 last day...... now is the time to see how far we have come .....


Well this has been fun. Also a lot of work, but I think it has payed off. 

Be sure to check out the other days: day 6 , day 5 , day 4day 3day 2 , DAY 1

Not all the way, I'll get there. 


Tip for the day.

Try some stretches with your leg up against something. It may put your leg in the right position to help with flexibility. Remember be careful , and be easy on yourself sometimes taking a day off may help too. Some days might not be so great, but you'll get there. I believe you can!

Trying new stretches may help a lot. 

Just remember this isn't the end, there are more to achieve, being able to do the splits is just the beginning to larger crazier feats and we can do them one day at a time.

7 Split Challenge /// Day 6

TIP to of the day.... 


I want to talk about different types of equipment you can use to get you closer to your splits.

First is a foam roller if you have seen my day 2 tip I talk about how to use it. Its great to use to roll out those quads and hamstrings that are tight. 


Gaiam Foam Yoga Block 4 Inch Purple

Next a yoga block this can help with getting down to the splits or using it to prop your foot up if your going for an oversplit. I don't have one so I haven't used one but I think they would be good. 

Leg Resistance Exercise Bands Full 5 Piece Set

Also a flex band can be a great to add. You can use it to pull your leg toward you if you can't reach you leg yet. There are tons of uses, I use mine for strength training.

7 Day Split Challenge ///// day 5

 Here we are at day 5. 

Hope you've bee stretching everyday. It's time to get those splits. 

My splits today.


Its getting so close 🠉🠉🠉🠉🠉🠉🠉🠉🠉 I'm hyped. 


Today I wanted to talk about Motivation, sticking to a routine and so we can accomplish what we want to accomplish. Think long term, go for the big stuff, but also have smaller goals to keep you going. 

So for my big goal is not to stop or the side or middle split but try for an over split and leg holds and all that good stiff. For working up, I've been working on getting my hands to the floor when I bend over (accomplished) also getting more flexible in the stretches I like to do. It all leads up. 

I also like to have a calendar chart that I've made, and check things off every day that I do my workouts and stretches.

 

I find checking things off super motivating, also small rewards help too. LOL :D The crazy thing is this challenge is happening at a year (August 11th) of me working on the splits. I'm so happy I can keep doing this.

7 Day Split Challenge /// Day 4

One side split is always going to be better than the other side. 



Tip for the day: warm up

So what is our tip today? 

We are talking about some warm up movement to get you all warmed and ready to do the splits, it's very important to be warm before you stretch. Make sure you are warming up your legs, which is what is stretching. You don't want to do your splits cold even if you have them and are good at them. A few videos I like to do to warm up.🠟🠟🠟🠟🠟🠟

Try to pull your leg into you and away can help with hamstring stretching.

7 Day Split Challenge //// Day 2

 Okay day 2, are you ready??????? Yes you are! 

My split today. 


Hope your here for day 2. Please check out yesterday's tip if you haven't gotten that tip yet. 


Tip of the day another good thing to do before or after you stretch is roll out your legs. Here are some pictures.


Make sure you get that quad rolled out.  


Get that hamstring and you can also do the calf if you want. That would just be for your calf if it's tight from other things. 

Also get the side of you leg and the hip. 

 I use a large pvc pipe, (cuz I'm cheep) but you can find one on Amazon or Walmart for around $10. You can also use a tennis ball, its great anyway for you calves and small spots. I have more in my Instagram story but I will link another video to help you. 🠟🠟🠟🠟🠟🠟

7 Day Split Challenge (DAY 1)


Yes it is happening. 


Okay here are some ways for you to do it with me. Post you post when you start you can start when ever you want and end at seven day when you get there. There will be one day you can take off. I'm starting on Sunday and ending on Sunday but you can start on Monday and end on Monday. However you want. Just post on Instagram or you blog at lest on the first and last day. 

I'm going to be post everyday Help me  at lest on Instagram with tips. I'll try to have everything on the blog and post my slits everyday. I'll have some tips each day, but if you want a video I can recommend some or you can come over to Instagram and I'll have some stories and tips. I always do my worm up at 10 or 11 AM mountain time. Than I do my stretches. On Insta it will be close to 11 or 12 am and the blog sometime later. You can post when ever your normal time is, but is you want to do it the same time is me that's fine too.

Also a great tip don't pop you hip out down in the split. Keep everything in line. 


My tip 

These are the main stretches for a split, Make sure you stretch at least 30 seconds each side 

Hip 

Quad
Always work to get the leg lower and closer to the ground 

Hamstrings
 

make sure your hip is in line and you don't stretch it out of alignment. sometimes I go back and forth threw these stretches before going down to the split however far that is. These are the last stretches I do but the main ones for splits. Stay tuned for tip 2 tomorrow.

My Progress in the Splits /// Update

I've been working a long time toward achieving my splits. It can be done. I wanted to do a post about this to give you, who want to get the splits, hope.  Getting so close is a huge for me. Just seeing the progress, may mean more to me that anyone else but, I want ya to see my progress.

Sometime in march.. I have no idea if theses pictures are in order.... close enough.
This one⇩Is slightly resent Here I'm showing what not to do; don't pop out your hip it may get you a little farther, but its not correct.

Remember to be warm when you stretch. Here are my other posts about that, workouts you can to to get warm /// hot; come on it makes it easier, my first post also there are some great stretches.

Getting closer on both sides.

I see that slight hip pop^. (Tip: taking some photos or videos might help you see what your doing wrong.)

I'm getting closer. But I'm not there yet.


Some days I fell so close and some days I fell so far away.

I will be doing some more updates on my instagram, but I wont stop with this series here. 

I'm not all the way down yet. But I'm not quitting.
