May 2021 Investigion

 It's been an interesting month.

I've had ups and down's this month, I worked a lot. It's feeling more and more like summer.

Solo turned 2 years old on the 24th.

My brother had a birthday party on the first of May, it was fun, and we got to visit with friends.

I dressed up as a book character in the book Calculated By Nova Mcbee for a cosplay contest on Instagram, it was fun and I won 3ed place.

We got some snow. We needed the moister. we have gotten some rain too, it's been good making everything greener.

Started doing some more flying training with my dad.

I read 3 books, I listened to the Looking Glass Wars, a Alice in Wonderland retelling, I enjoyed it once I got into it a little. The Case for Christ, 5 out of 5 recommend. I also listened to a book called Ghost Knight by Corneal Flunk, she wrote the Inkheart books, which I really liked. It was an okay, book, different to what I would normally read, with ghosts and stuff. Wasn't too scary its for middle grade, so yeah.

Working on my sewing a little, I need to get it done. You will see it once I'm done.

Baby cows are born.
Started Go Teen Writer's 100 for 100 writing challenge for the summer. I'm going to start editing my West Rover, book, It's an adventure book. I've done some post's on here about it before.

School let out on the 28th so I'm free for the summer. I hope to get more horse training in and sewing.

We had our branding on the 31st, so that was good, It was a warm day though. I'm ready for summer!

How was May for you?
What did you read?
Have you been writing any?

August 2020 Investigation

 August is ending, some have gone back to school already. I'm not ready for Summer to end.

It's been both a crazy month and slow, it slowed down after fair.

Solo at fair. The beginning of the month started with the horse 4h fair.

Rhubarb at the show.

Kids waiting for a class, I think they were waiting for western horsemanship here. I only did young horse classes so I had some down time.

Mom and Dad holding solo and waiting for his trail class. While I saddled Rhubarb.

My sister doing her English class.

After having the 4h judging of indoor projects, some of the grand winners got to be displayed at a store in town.

My short  story got best of fair 🠅🠅🠅🠅🠅🠅( yes it's the fist chapter of the my WIP)

Some other best of fair winners

The scrapbook I entered. It has all the pictures of Rhubarb through the years of training him.

My Cowboy Poetry display won best of fair.

One of the poems in the little booklet I made withe the cowboy display.

A headband I knitted.

My youngest brother. ( I was taking pictures for a picture book I put together.) And yeah I made the robes.

My brother in his Jedi attire I made for him. 🠝🠟🠝🠟

Did a lot of other things I can't remember. Most days though were filled with a little sewing, some riding and taking care of horses and other animals. Planning an idea of mine that I will tell you guys about at some point.
Blogging of course. Working and life stuff......

I did a split challenge. It was fun though lots of work at times. I am happy with my progress. I really enjoy inspiring others. And I'm not quitting. On the 11th of August marked one year of me working on the spits and ballet.

Writing has been going and I mean going, not the best but still, I'm writing, since I am doing 100 for 100, I gotta keep writing. It's getting close to the end. Which I kinda need; I am running out of steam.
And Books, well lets just say, not much, I finished the book of Ezekiel and Daniel and most likely Hosea when this is posted.

What have you been up to this month?
How was your August?

June Investigation 2020

The month is over. It was a really good month, so much has happened.

It's been getting warmer and not much rain....

I started the 100 for 100 Go Teen Writers summer challenge. It's been going good. I've gotten around 5k written so far.  Here is a bit of what my story is all about.

I'm still reading Ben-Hur 😅 I want to finish it. I suppose I did read the book of Psalms. The whole book; so that takes some reading time as well.

Everything has been busy with riding and getting ready for fair, which I hope will still happen.

Nala^ Me and Nala have been working on some obstacle course stuff. She really loves to learn new things.

Went to a branding. It was very cool. A lot different then our branding.

 Yeah I learned how to wrangle a calf, though I just took some pictures first.

Also got to see a friend's goats.

Went to town and took some pictures with this cool plane. That's Dad^...  For my sister's grad photos mostly.

Me sister. She got done with school this month.

 On Father's Day we got to ride in this coach that has been going across the state of Montana.

It was supper cool and such a neat experience.  Another thing to mark off the list. LOL

Me with the plane too. It's a biplane bty. I love the cool Reto setting on my camera

How was your month?
Been doing any writing?

My WIP //// Isolation Aesthetics

I've been working on this story, it doesn't really have a name, I call it, Isolation story as of now, it will change at some point. If you have an idea on a name, let me know!

This story started out as a short story idea that I hand for this contest that had a prompt : isolation. I didn't do the contest cuz it cost money, but I thought I would write something anyway. Now it has become a full story and I am writing it for 100 for 100 that Go Teen Writers is putting on. It's a fun story. I already have 8k words, though some of this I started before the 100for100. I'm kinda writing it by the seat of my pants. So I'm not all sure what will be happening. Enjoy a taste of the story......

Story Themes:

First point of view, mystery, darkness, light, journey, motorcycles, sarcastic, missing, hidden, sibling arc, leather, running, daring, rebel, professors, police, dad problems, arguing, taking a stand, loner, isolation, pickup, girl switch, mix up, deception, murder, kidnapped, bossy brother, past of secrets,

Want to see more check out my pinterest board.

pics from pinterest or canva.

The Characters:

Felicity Jones

main character

Motorcycle girl, leather jackets, athlete, runner, college student, loner, rebel, blond, gray eyes, smart, watchful,

Colter Jones

second character

Older brother, pickup guy, down to earth, blue jeans, blond, brown eyes, caring, has his own secrets, trying not to be a rebel,

Still working on other characters....

The snips:

A black room. A white paper. A soft sound. Was it always this way?
Was something supposed to be happening?

........

Oh. Well that puts a twist on things. My head was starting to hurt. My eyes drifted down to the desk. I saw a picture of Frances and almost flipped out.

.......

“Who was this professor?”

“I don’t know.”
........

 I racked my hands through my ringlets of blond hair. Where do I go from here? Connelsvill?
Where my last memory was before I found myself in the dark room with the paper?
This should be fun. I hoped my brother would go along with this.
I looked around for cars and broke out running.
.......

You know how some things just feel like home? Like a song you love and hear it again after a long time. That’s what my motorcycle was like to me.

~~~~~~~
Music:
I've got a playlist on my spotify, you should be able to find it at; WIP: isolation or my name, Rakayle A. Sorry I don't know how to put that up that up on my blog.
Here is few songs anyway.
I feel like I'm just getting started with this story, so I'm still figuring things out.
What are you working on?
Do you like stories about siblings?
What do you think of this story?
Tell me below! Love to hear your thoughts!!!!
also happy Father's Day!!!
August Investigation
over? I am not ready for summer to be over. Even though it is just August it has not been very warm here.
Some of August was a wined down from fair, so life was slower. Of course the beginning of August was the end of fair, but I did a post on that already. So here we go.
Puppies are getting along. Whip and Nala love to play together.
Sewed some dress towels for a friend's birthday gift. They turned out nice. I've also been planning a few other projects, which has been stressing me out. Yeah I might have more on that later.
I read one book this month "Murder on the Nile". Also started another one... not sure if I will get it done before the month is over. I just have not felt like reading.
I have now had my car for a year, today. Wow. It does not seem like I have had it that long.
Well, everyone has gone back to school now, I'm out, but I have to get to studying for the GED; so I really haven't gotten out of the school room.
Made some smoothies.
Yes I finished the GTW 100 for 100. I wrote 15,800 words. Not as much as last year,  but I am happy with it.
Next year I might not start a book for this challenge. It was hard to plan so I kinda went with it. The story is going good though.
 I had to slow down on riding because my horse hurt himself. I am still dealing with the cut, but he is doing better. We have been going riding if it is nice out.
Yes it is cool enough to wear a jacket in the morning.
 I've been stressing out some this month, but it's been an good month.
How was your month?
Is it cool where you are or warm?
Tell me bellow.
It's Almost August
 How is more than half the year gone by? I've been enjoying the summer. I love summer.  It's been a very rainy year which is so grea...
