Hi guys, its been a while.

 It's been a while.

I wish I was interested in blogging as of late. Maybe I can get into it again.

I have been working and I just started writing again, since I last wrote in my story in August.

I really want to finish this story this year. This new 2023, crazzy.

Anyway here are some snips of this  WIP.  Let me know what you think.

🠊🠊🠊🠊🠊

  And the scene was set me and Colter on the ground, three men looking down at us,

one blond lady scaling with a black eye, and another lady looking like a lawyer talking on her cell phone. It was 2 to 5 and the odds were not pretty.

πŸ”ŽπŸ”ŽπŸ”ŽπŸ”ŽπŸ”ŽπŸ”Ž

  “Are you alright? Izzy? Come on, I can't lose you right now.”
I wondered how I looked. Did I look truly awful, I wasn’t worried about my appearance,

but about how Colter thought I felt. Was I in pain? A little. My head was hurting,

my throat was burning like I had been hit there. I wondered if my elbow was bleeding.

I was achy all over as well, but I wondered how that affected my face. I turned my face to him,

I could help it anymore, those words would never leave my mind. ‘I can’t lose you.’

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

 “Izzy,” Colter whispered in my ear. I snapped back to look at him, our faces so close my

lips could have kissed his cheek. “You look so pale.”

“I’m going to be okay, stop worrying about me right now.”

πŸ’¬πŸ’¬πŸ’¬πŸ’¬πŸ’¬πŸ’¬

Everything was looking ready to ship out. Ninja and the sheriff came for us.

Both me and Colter were pulled to our feet. The sheriff scaled at me like I was something dirty to deal with. Colter’s escort took him ahead of me and my guard and we neared the semi. Miss Blondie looked at the both of us and gave the order. Put them in the semi bed. So this was our fate. I gave a little start. Colter tried to spring away but the man held him firm and punched him in the kidney. “Stop it,'' I shrieked, pulling away only to get a fresh slap in the face. The lady with the black eye backed away not forgetting the pain, I gave her.

Colter stood, and calmed down, he didn’t want me hurt.

Neither of us tried to get away after that, wanting to spare each other pain.

I stopped Colter and he stopped me.

πŸ”πŸ”πŸ”πŸ”πŸ”πŸ”

The closing of the doors behind us was sickening.

It was like a coffin being closed on someone alive, to be buried deep in a dark place and forgotten

by the world. Lost forever on a ship in a never ending journey in troublesome waves that mocked your

life. How small it was, how weak and shallow it was.

To Conceal ( WIP Short)

 #blogbattle we are back with another short from my WIP. Yes I know I'm just giving parts, but that's because I might publish the story someday.

I had some fun writing this part, course I had to sneak in the word conceal for the monthly Blogbattle word conceal.

*****

My mind came up with no answers, no pictures, no memories.

If all this was a dream, if all the life before me had been a dream, I wish I would wake up now. And live my normal life again, not stuck at Colter's house, not running from everyone. I felt like I had gotten myself into this mess, but the memory of how didn’t surface. The questions didn’t add up and the answers were few and hard to read. If only time would reverse. If I could just tell my younger self to not be so bold. What it would end up accomplishing. I felt stuck between a time frame of someday and never. Someday I may get out of this or I may never get out of this in this timeless mystery. My death might be the only thing that made me free. It wasn't something that made one feel glee, but rather one would say more like despair. A rather nasty heartache that left one feel hopeless.

I knew I was dwelling on it too much. I had to keep moving. Keep myself focused on the things at hand; however bleak they can be, one only had the day, soon it would work out. I hoped. It was a hope and maybe a prayer, if anyone was listening.

I opened my eyes and rose from my dreary self. I went into the bathroom and tried to calm my hair that had been fuzzed up even though it had been in braids and I washed my face looking at my hazel eyes, I hadn’t put the contacts back in. I don't know if it mattered. No one was looking for me, alive that is, and no one was expecting to see Felicity Jones alive. They thought I was Frances Walker or Cirena.

How could I get my identity back? Why was everything concealed between a misconception? Lies. Someone was lying. I just had to find out who. Another question could be added. Where was the real Frances Walker?

She would most likely be lost by now. Would I forever be stuck in that girl's shoes? No, the truth would have to come out eventually. Even if someone badly wanted it hidden.

To conceal a matter? Didn’t that sum it all up. Isn't’ that why I was here? Because of a matter that someone wanted hidden?

Hope you liked it :)

Spill The Tea (WIP Short)

 Yes I'm slipping in an extra post today to do the blogbattle challenge in which the word this month is TEA.

This is another part I just wrote in my WIP story. Hope you like it.

************

I went down stairs and found my brother looking through his trunk in the living room.

I quietly watched him until he looked up at me. “What are you doing?”

He sighed. “I’m looking for some old papers that I have somewhere around here.”

“Is that why you’ve been gone all day?”

“So you noticed.”

“Of course I noticed.”

“I’ve been doing my research.”

“Okay?”

He didn’t reply. I don’t think he wanted to spill the tea. Why? Now he was the one who was keeping secrets. I folded my arms. “Well I’ve been doing some research too.”

He gave me a strange look and went back to digging. I shrugged my shoulders and let him look. Maybe he would tell me later. You never could tell a Jones to spit out what he didn’t want to share.

I felt hungry so I went looking for something to eat. Colter didn’t have much in his cupboards, though I found some chips and opened a bag. I munched on them thinking about my dilemma, if one of my teachers were involved than who? Why couldn’t I remember, and why did I keep having that strange dream, of the two talking, as if I had been listening in. It was almost like I was told that it had happened. The thought dawned on me, was that part of it? Why on earth could I not remember?

It didn’t make any sense. Or maybe it did and I didn’t know how it made sense. I was feeling drained. A mystery was a lot easier when it was all in a book and not happening to my life. If only something new would surface that would prove useful. Someone had to spill the tea. Someone was hiding something, and I had to find out what. If it was one of my teachers or someone else in the school I had to find out. If it wouldn’t surface on it’s own I was going to have to dig it out, screaming and clawing, let's just hope I didn’t get too scared in the process. I shook my head. No matter what happened. I knew it wasn’t going to be easy and I was putting my brother in danger as well, maybe I had made a mistake. What had I done to get involved in the killing? How had I put us all in danger in the fist place? What could I have done differently? My brother came into the kitchen and eyed the chips that I had on the table.

“Any left for me?’

I pushed over the bag and he took a hand full out. I studied my brother more, and could see he looked tired. What did he know? And why couldn’t he tell me? What was there to hide? Maybe he just didn’t know yet. Didn’t know how to tell me.

“What are you cooking up in that head of yours?” Colter remarked.

Tea. But no, I didn’t say it out loud, we all had too much cooking; it might all boil over, and that would be messy. Let’s just take this one step at a time.

*****

Well, the story went a little longer this time. Hope you liked it. I did another short of the same WIP story, Wretched me short.

So you can check that one out if you haven't read it yet.

Wretched Me (WIP Short)

I'm back and here with another story for blogbattlers. This is part of my WIP story which is the story I have been working on. Its just a small part, but I hope you like it.

*******

We parked outside the police station. The last place I thought I'd ever be. I felt like a wreck. The scenarios of what could happen were going through my head making me shake with nervous energy.

“Don’t look so wretched.” Colter eyed me. “Play it cool.”

Play it cool. Easy for him to say. I got out of the pickup and managed to get it together, I thought about how I dealt with nerves before a big track competition. I was different and it didn’t matter, I would win. It was better to stay calm and take in every detail. I looked up at the sign in red lettering: Delta’s Police Department.

The place had long windows in the front. We walked in together. I was glad Colter was here. It made me feel like I was a kid. Who'd gotten into trouble and was here with an adult so she could apologize. I wasn’t a kid anymore, this was bigger than a minor offence. There was murder in the air and I somehow was involved. Which no one knew about yet. So I had nothing to worry about. I was wrong. I'm wrong about a lot of things.

We found ourselves in the detective’s office. It wasn’t at all fancy, it was just a side room where they had stuffed him along with a bunch of boxes. But if I remembered correctly he was a private detective so this was just an office. And he was just using it, he most likely had demanded for one and they gave in, giving him some old storage office. His name was Holstrum. Last name anyway. He sat down looking at us. I noticed he looked tired. I hoped he didn’t see through my disguise as he had a picture of me on the table. It was a little old. I was glad the leather jacket in the picture was not the same one I was wearing. I wore that one a lot. My clothing choice didn’t change much.

Sorry if it seems like just a taste, but I can't reveal too much.
Also I will be back to posting on Sunday.

June Investigation 2020

The month is over. It was a really good month, so much has happened.

It's been getting warmer and not much rain....

I started the 100 for 100 Go Teen Writers summer challenge. It's been going good. I've gotten around 5k written so far.  Here is a bit of what my story is all about.

I'm still reading Ben-Hur πŸ˜… I want to finish it. I suppose I did read the book of Psalms. The whole book; so that takes some reading time as well.

Everything has been busy with riding and getting ready for fair, which I hope will still happen.

Nala^ Me and Nala have been working on some obstacle course stuff. She really loves to learn new things.

Went to a branding. It was very cool. A lot different then our branding.

 Yeah I learned how to wrangle a calf, though I just took some pictures first.

Also got to see a friend's goats.

Went to town and took some pictures with this cool plane. That's Dad^...  For my sister's grad photos mostly.

Me sister. She got done with school this month.

 On Father's Day we got to ride in this coach that has been going across the state of Montana.

It was supper cool and such a neat experience.  Another thing to mark off the list. LOL

Me with the plane too. It's a biplane bty. I love the cool Reto setting on my camera

My WIP //// Isolation Aesthetics

I've been working on this story, it doesn't really have a name, I call it, Isolation story as of now, it will change at some point. If you have an idea on a name, let me know!

This story started out as a short story idea that I hand for this contest that had a prompt : isolation. I didn't do the contest cuz it cost money, but I thought I would write something anyway. Now it has become a full story and I am writing it for 100 for 100 that Go Teen Writers is putting on. It's a fun story. I already have 8k words, though some of this I started before the 100for100. I'm kinda writing it by the seat of my pants. So I'm not all sure what will be happening. Enjoy a taste of the story......

Story Themes:

First point of view, mystery, darkness, light, journey, motorcycles, sarcastic, missing, hidden, sibling arc, leather, running, daring, rebel, professors, police, dad problems, arguing, taking a stand, loner, isolation, pickup, girl switch, mix up, deception, murder, kidnapped, bossy brother, past of secrets,

Want to see more check out my pinterest board.

pics from pinterest or canva.

The Characters:

Felicity Jones

main character

Motorcycle girl, leather jackets, athlete, runner, college student, loner, rebel, blond, gray eyes, smart, watchful,

Colter Jones

second character

Older brother, pickup guy, down to earth, blue jeans, blond, brown eyes, caring, has his own secrets, trying not to be a rebel,

Still working on other characters....

The snips:

A black room. A white paper. A soft sound. Was it always this way?
Was something supposed to be happening?

........

Oh. Well that puts a twist on things. My head was starting to hurt. My eyes drifted down to the desk. I saw a picture of Frances and almost flipped out.

.......

“Who was this professor?”

“I don’t know.”
........

 I racked my hands through my ringlets of blond hair. Where do I go from here? Connelsvill?
Where my last memory was before I found myself in the dark room with the paper?
This should be fun. I hoped my brother would go along with this.
I looked around for cars and broke out running.
.......

You know how some things just feel like home? Like a song you love and hear it again after a long time. That’s what my motorcycle was like to me.

~~~~~~~
Music:
I've got a playlist on my spotify, you should be able to find it at; WIP: isolation or my name, Rakayle A. Sorry I don't know how to put that up that up on my blog.
December 2019 Investigation
A month is gone and 2020 is  coming  here.....
This has been a messed up month for my blogging.... I was sick half of it so it really messed up stuff. I'm better now and working to get back to the normal schedule.
In writing a didn't write a lot. I made no progress on my WIP. I did how ever write the last part in my on going story Detective Heinz. I am so happy and quite surprised that I have been writing one story a month for a whole 12 months. AAAAAAAAA. Sorry I'm just so jazzed about that. I will be taking a break from that to hopefully get back to my other story.
Well reading has been slow. I finished reading the book of John, and listened to one book. I tried to start another but didn't get it done before it expired.
 I tried making some flavored popcorn... It was pretty good.
I've been finally getting back outside. Feeding horses and playing with my dog.
 Whip.... ^^^^ He is getting big.
 My sweet Nala. I've had her a year now, since November anyway, but guess what ? I forgot to say so. I forgot a lot of things in my Nov post.....
I got tickets to see a ballet show, I am so excited! I also became an AQHA member, to get Solo registered. I'm kinda excited about that cuz I want to do their riding challenge!!!!! You will be hearing more about that at some point.
Sundance and Rhubarb. They are getting so big!
Selfie!
We moved Solo over with the other horses. We are hoping to get everyone use to each other. ( Horses can be mean to new horses. We don't want anyone getting hurt.)
It has been fairly nice. Some cold days but we have gotten some days in the 30's and 40's which is so nice.
I'm excited for the new year. I have lots of plans and goals I'm excited about. I'll share a few.
I hope to ride around 200 hours.
I want to get flexible and do the slits.
Get a book written and get some other stories edited and maybe get some beta readers.
Do well at fair. Practice with Nala for the obstacle course.
Take some good pictures and maybe do a photo shoot.
Sew two dresses.
Not stress out so much.
Read the Bible through in a few months.
2019 was a year to remember, though it was hard, I had a lot of good times. I hope 2020 is awesome.
I know last year I read a lot of 'words' bloggers had for the year. My word was giant killer. I'm not for sure if it fit the year, but it doesn't matter. I don't really have a word for this year, I'm just going to try to make it the best year I can.
Happy New Year!!!!!!
How was your month?
What are a few of your goals for this year?
Meet My WIP
Hi, today I wanted to talk about my WIP. I started it for the 100 for 100 challenge and now I've really slowed down.
So today I thought I might get back into the spirit of the story by talking about it a little. You probably have heard some about the characters. This one is the third in a detective series called The JAKE Detectives.
The only name I have for the book is To Catch A Spy. If I think of a better name I might change it. Let me know if you have any ideas.
Words to describe the story: Undercover, train yard, mishaps, car chase, break in, spy, papers, danger, boats, sneak in, fly over, storm, rain, underwater trouble, smuggling, untrustworthy, reporter, caught, cave in,sleuth, clue
Pictures Collection - URSTYLE
Joe, Andy, Kayla and Ed are in High Cove, unknowingly closer to a mystery than they realize. From Davenport to High Cove they soon find the threat a serious one. That won't stop them. But the bad guys plans might. Soon they meet up with an old friend, and things start looking grave. They only have a few more days maybe hours before it's too late.
You have 24 hours. Go back to England.
"It's not spicy so go somewhere else." Mr. Cartwright slipped through the swinging doors. The reporter was right on his heels. "There is always something spicy in your business; besides there's nothing else 'you know' to sniff out."
^
"I'm sure you would make a great criminal."
    Ed made a face. "What's the point in trying to catch a criminal if you can't think like one?"
"I'll keep that in mind."
    "Good." Ed nodded. "Because when I am rich and famous, you'll know why."
^
"That was Charles Finwick, he has a case for me."
^
"Oh, don't be so bummed, come on, I'm sure Uncle Lawrence had something to tell us. Much more mysterious."
GTW 100 for 100 Summer Challenge 2019
The Go Teen Writes 100 for 100 challenge is starting tomorrow! I am so excited, but kind of scared too. I have so much to do and I have to work this in too. I do try to write everyday.... Anyway I wan to talk about my project for this 100 for 100.
I said in another post that I was wanting to finish my WIP "West Rover" before I started this challenge. Well I did. I think the ending may need work once I start editing, but for now the story is done. I am both happy and sad.
πŸ”Some aesthetics from my West Rover book:
Snips:
So pail, the moon would melt into the sea. The riddle went through his head. This was it!
#
There was a hint of annoyance in Cutter's eyes. West was suddenly giving the orders. He was beginning to think that letting Cutter go was a mistake.
#
West went inside the deep darkness, he had his whip in one had, a gun that Indigo had slipped into his satchel, and a burning torch in his other hand.  West walked forward slowly, loose gravel crunching under his feet. There wasn't much to see at first, but it wasn't long before he came to some stairs.
#
West saw Emmit scampering down the slope after him, his fluffy tail bobbing. "What is that martin up to?" West said under his breath.
***
My new story I decided to do for the challenge is The Jake Detectives, book 3. I have been thinking about this one for quite awhile. The first book I finished writing, started this series. I am so happy to get back to Kayla, Joe, Ed, and Andy.
I haven't talked about this series a whole lot. It is a mystery series, in 1973. The teens Kayla, Joe, Ed, and Andy are sleuths helping Detective Cartwright (Andy and Ed's father) solve mysteries. Sometimes they stumble upon their own mysteries. Pintrest board.
For now the name of this book third is "To Catch a Spy". To my surprise I came up with a name for this book before I even started it let a lone finished it. I am not sure if I will keep the name so.... We will see what happens.
πŸ”Here are some aethesics for you:
I did not get all the characters' boards done, it takes a lot of time...
πŸ”Meet the characters,
Kayla, most of the time she is the main character. She loves to solve mysteries and is happy to do what the boys like to do. Once in a while she will strike out on her own, but she don't always feel as confident as the boys seem. She is 16.
Amelia Pond. Like a name in a fairy tale.
Kayla has auburn hair and brown eyes.
Andrew, but everyone calls him Andy. He is the most sensible and likes to think things through. He will normally take over since he is the oldest. He is 18.
I was very scared and I failed...for a moment I failed. I went back to Bors trying to ignore that I knew that if he asked me to stay with him IΓ‚´d do. He didnΓ‚´t, so I left
I don't have a very good picture of Andy yet. He has dark hair and brown eyes.
Edmund or Ed, Andy's brother is the most mischievous of the three boys. He would go out and do anything that came to mind if his brother wasn't around to slow him down. He also likes to work on cars. He is 17.
I am still looking for better pictures of Ed. He has blond hair and blue eyes.
Joe, is in between Andy and Ed, he will think things through, but sometimes he will just go for it. He is learning to fly and doesn't always like to have Kayla along. Joe is also 17, but just a few months younger than Ed.
This would be Kayla and Joe. Ever looking for a good pic of Joe. He had light brown hair and brown eyes. (Kayla is Joe's sister.)
*All pictures from Pinterest all credit to owners.
They are the Jake detectives. The reason behind the series name (Jake detectives) is explained in the first book. I am not giving any surprises away. Sorry. Also on another note I am planning to rewrite the first book.... at some point. Hee that is going to be lot of work.
Snips from the two previous stories:
πŸ”The Mystery of Jenkins's Treasure, First book:
Andy leaned back. “So, what is about the note? They must know we are on the case.”
“And how come it warns us, but not really you?” Ed asked.
Before Mr. Cartwright could answer, there came a loud crash.
#
“Now what is this all about?” the gray haired lady complained, “I came here to stay-” she broke off and added, “you open the door and stare at me like I’m a criminal. Didn’t you remember I was coming?”
#
No it isn’t,” Joe insisted.
“We don’t know that yet, anyway everything is evidence.” Kayla claimed.
“Fine,” Joe surrendered “We can find out.”
πŸ”The Historian's Secret, Second book:
The Plymouth stopped just behind the blue car, waiting for the light to turn green, rain sprinkled on the cars. The small drops sat on the shaking hoods. The light blinked green and the Camaro gunned forward. His follower rolled forward seeming in no hurry, calm and smooth.
#
“I found my answers, Joe,” he said quietly.
“That’s good because I need some.”
#
“Yvette!” Victoria scolded. Yvette ignored her. “A person can get lost in there; around closing time someone switches on the maze. You can get lost in the endless paths, frightening things reflect on the ghostly mirrors.”The loud clang of a clock made them jump.“See I told you.” She shook a little. “The museum will be closing in thirty minutes.”
*****
Hope you enjoyed those snips and other book goodies! I hope I get a lot of writing done this summer! Will you be doing the 100 for 100? Maybe we could do some word battles some time, like on goggle chat. I don't have Facebook, so I can't do the word battles on there. Please tell me know if you want to and maybe we can schedule a time that works good.
I had a lot of fun with this post!
Will you be doing 100 for 100?
Have you done it before?
What do you think of my stories?
Tell me below! Love to hear any feedback.
It's Almost August
 How is more than half the year gone by? I've been enjoying the summer. I love summer.  It's been a very rainy year which is so grea...
