Book Review: Bella at Midnight

This fairy tale was an AWESOME read! I bought this from a thrift store a while ago. It had been siting in my bookshelf for sometime and I decided to read it. I am so happy I got this book it was worth the read!

This is a very enjoyable read. There are very many different character narrating this book making the read interesting. There is a little bit of magic, but the story has such a realistic feel to it.


The review

A baby is born the mother dies. The father doesn't want her. Isabel is taken to live with peasants. There is a war going on in the kingdom. A young prince is fond of Isabel and the peasant family. A prophecy of peace. A girl with a magical ring. Deception that could destroy the treaty.

The good things

This book is full of good things! What I really like about this story is how realistic it is. The story is very different, even though it had a few Cinderella type parts woven in. The end was very surprising. I love Bella she is such a great character, stubborn, brave, and clever! I like Julian too he is so fun; he is the type of guy character I like. No one is perfect but they make the right choices in the end. I was never board. I liked the whole entire story!

The bad things

What can I complain about? This had everything you want in a good story. Some parts did seem off from the story, but it gave you a broader view of why the characters did what they did. Oh and I didn't like Bella's real father, so mean.

In conclusion

If you like easy to read fairy tales that have a deep meaning to them, try this book out. It won't disappoint.
